Als weiteres Dark Solitary Interview haben wir den Drummer von Vlad in Tears. Er ist der ruhige Pol von VIT und sitzt am Herzstück der Band, den Drums: Cosmo Cadar.
When listening to music goes beyond the simple act of it, you start breathing, sensing, living and dreaming it, even in unconsciousness… drumming is my way into reality, dreams and life itself, this is what I do, this is what I am.
Diese Worte in seiner Beschreibung auf Facebook sind kaum zu übertreffen. Sie sagen genau das aus, was ihn ausmacht.
Der aus Rumänien stammende Musiker hat bereits früh angefangen sich den Drums zu widmen. Schon in seinem Heimatland hat er in Bands gespielt, wie z.B.: Godmode und Antract.
2011 hat es ihn letztlich nach Berlin gezogen und dort spielte er mit Gregor Friday, dem heutigen Gitarristen von Vlad in Tears, in dessen gleichnamigen Band.
Seit 2013 ist er nun Drummer und festes Mitglied bei VIT und zeigt sein Können in jeder Show, bei jedem Song. Auch außerhalb seines Wirkens am Schlagzeug ist er ein sehr sympathischer und ausgeglichener Mensch.
Natürlich haben wir auch Cosmo einige Fragen gestellt, die ihr nun hier lesen könnt:
You were not at the beginning of at Vlad in Tears. How did you come to Dario and Kris?
I was in Berlin at the time they were looking for a drummer. A good friend of mine, who actually knew the guitar player of VIT at that time, asked me if I was interested. Then I met the guys, told them that I’m from Transylvania and I was automatically accepted.^^
When did you start to care about music?
Always as far as I can remember
Which instruments do you play besides drums?
I can play a bit of keyboard and I sing
Was it the right step for you to come to Germany?
Definitely, musically speaking Germany is a milestone for almost every band.
If you had the chance to change some things that are happen, what would you change?
Hard to say, cause everything that has happened has made me who I am and positioned me where I stand, hence changing anything would mean a different story to tell.
Is there a drummer who inspires you?
Mike Portnoy, Thomas Haake
How is the feeling for you to be on stage?
Being on stage is something surreal, is one of the few things that you live for as a musician.
Have you played in other bands?
Too many to count them all
What was your strongest emotional moment on stage?
I think it happened when I was 14 and my family came to see me play
Are you excited before the show?
Always, before, during and after the show, it’s just energy transforming from nervousness to ecstasy to completeness.
You’re making a calm and balanced impression. Are you?
Well there has to be someone in each band that has to take care of this aspect isn’t it?
What is your wish for the future?
To make the music, I love with the people, I love for the people who love me
